Children
ADHD in children may affect learning, behaviour, emotional regulation, friendships and family life. Assessment is developmentally appropriate and incorporates parent or caregiver information.

Tersalus Medical Clinic is a Canadian virtual clinic focused on ADHD assessment, treatment and ongoing care for children, adolescents and adults.
Our clinical team brings together healthcare professionals with a shared focus on ADHD and its impact on everyday life. We believe good ADHD care goes beyond a questionnaire—it starts with understanding the individual, their history, their challenges and their goals.

Medical Director · Tersalus Medical Clinic
Darwin Lahue is a Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director of Tersalus Medical Clinic, with graduate education in nursing and science and clinical experience spanning primary care, urgent care and psychiatric emergency services.
As Medical Director, Darwin leads the clinic's approach to ADHD assessment and treatment, with an emphasis on careful clinical evaluation, clear communication, patient education and individualized care.
His broad clinical background is particularly relevant to ADHD. Difficulties with attention, concentration, impulsivity, organization and emotional regulation can overlap with—or be influenced by—medical conditions, sleep, medications, anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns.
For this reason, ADHD assessment at Tersalus is designed to look beyond symptoms alone and understand the whole clinical picture.
Tersalus brings together healthcare professionals with a shared focus on ADHD assessment, treatment and ongoing support.
Our team-based model allows care to reflect the different ways ADHD can affect health, school, work, relationships, family life and everyday functioning.
Depending on individual needs, care may include clinical assessment, diagnosis, education, individualized treatment planning, medication management when appropriate, and ongoing follow-up and support.
Our goal is straightforward: help patients and families understand what is happening and know what to do next.
ADHD cannot be diagnosed by a questionnaire alone.
A comprehensive ADHD assessment considers symptoms alongside childhood and developmental history, functional difficulties, medical and mental health history, and collateral information when appropriate.
We also consider whether another condition could be contributing to or better explaining the symptoms.
When ADHD is diagnosed, patients can continue with Tersalus for treatment and ongoing care.
When additional testing, an in-person examination or another healthcare professional is needed, we'll explain the appropriate next steps.

Teenagers face changing academic, social and developmental demands. Assessment considers symptoms across environments while recognizing the adolescent's increasing independence.
For adults, ADHD may appear as chronic difficulties with attention, organization, procrastination, time management, impulsivity or completing everyday responsibilities. Assessment considers both current functioning and symptoms extending back into childhood.
Tersalus provides virtual ADHD care to eligible patients in:
British Columbia · Alberta · Saskatchewan · Manitoba · Newfoundland and Labrador · New Brunswick · Nova Scotia
Virtual care makes it possible to access assessment and ongoing ADHD care from home, but it is not appropriate for every clinical situation. When an in-person assessment, physical examination, additional investigation or referral is needed, we'll discuss that with you.
